Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research, user studies, and competitive analysis to identify design opportunities and trends
- Generate and iterate on design concepts, using sketches, 3D models, prototypes, and other visualization techniques
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, efficient, and cost-effective to produce
- Create detailed product specifications, including technical drawings, CAD models, and design documentation
- Develop and maintain the company's design language and visual brand identity across product lines
- Present design proposals and progress updates to internal stakeholders and decision-makers
- Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
- 5-7 years of professional experience as an Industrial Designer, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong proficiency in design software such as Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools
- Excellent sketching, rendering, and prototyping skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production constraints
- Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
- Ability to balance user needs, business requirements, and technical feasibility
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
